In the four years of the Andrews Labor Government, Clyde North and Clyde crime is up a massive and alarming 132.9% and 82.2% respectively.
That’s why an elected Matthew Guy led Liberal National Government will build a new 24 hour, 7 days a week Clyde North Police Station.
In Clyde North, violent crimes against the person are up an alarming 248.1% including assaults up 190.9%, property offences up 150.0% and drug offences up 288.9%.
Overall, crime across the City of Casey is up a concerning 14.5% since December 2014 under Daniel Andrews, above the state average increase of 10.4%.
While crime is up, frontline police numbers are down with data supplied by The Police Association revealing that there are now 190 fewer frontline police than there were in 2013.
Comments attributable to Shadow Minister for Police, Edward O’Donohue:
“Casey Police have been under-resourced for far too long due to Daniel Andrews’ neglect of police numbers which saw the Police Academy a virtual ghost town for over two years.
Daniel Andrews has cut frontline police while violent crimes against Victorians continue to increase.
The November state election will be a referendum on who can fix violent crime in Victoria and that’s why the Liberals will build a new 24/7 police station at Clyde North.”
Comments attributable to Member for Bass, Brian Paynter:
“Daniel Andrews and Labor has ignored the people of Clyde North while our homes have been invaded and businesses terrorised.
Crime is surging and only the Liberal Nationals have a plan to tackle this problem.”
