Edward O’Donohue was elected a Member of the Eastern Victoria Region in November 2006, and was re-elected in 2010 and 2014.
Raised in Moorooduc and schooled in Mount Eliza, Edward has spent most of his life on the Mornington Peninsula where he now lives with his wife and three young children.
He completed a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Law (Honours) at the Australian National University, going on to practice as a solicitor and barrister before becoming a director of a successful real estate and project management company.
Edward O’Donohue became the Shadow Parliamentary Secretary for Infrastructure and Resources in February 2008. In November 2009, he also took on the role as Shadow Parliamentary Secretary for Families. Edward was appointed Parliamentary Secretary for Transport from December 2010 to March 2013 and was Parliamentary Secretary to the Premier for March and April 2013.
Edward served as Minister for Liquor and Gaming Regulation, Minister for Corrections and Minister for Crime Prevention 2013-2014.
Edward was Shadow Minister for Police, Corrections and Community Safety between December 2014 and November 2018.
Appointed Victorian Shadow Attorney-General in December 2018.
